Alan Michael Sugar, Lord Sugar (born March 24, 1947) is an English business tycoon, media personality, and political adviser. According to the list of the rich of the Sunday Times of 2015, Sugar joined the “club of the billionaires” with an estimated fortune of 1040 million pounds and is positioned in the 101 of the richest people in the United Kingdom. In 2007, he sold his remaining stake in the consumer electronics company Amstrad, his best-known and most durable company.

Sugar was president of Tottenham Hotspur from 1991 to 2001. He appears on the BBC television program, The Apprentice, which has aired annually since 2005 and is based on the US version of the program with the same name, run by American businessman Donald Trump.
