Airbourne is a hard rock band from Warrnambool, Victoria, Australia. They released their first EP in 2004, Ready to Rock, after gaining a consolidated popularity in their hometown due to their numerous concerts in local venues. In 2005 they signed a contract of five albums with the Capitol Records label and began to perform before the concerts of groups like The Rolling Stones and Mötley Crüe, as well as playing in several summer festivals. In 2007 they released their first LP under the name of Runnin ‘Wild, specifically on June 23. In this work there are three singles: “Runnin ‘Wild”, “Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast” and “Diamond in the Rough”. On February 19, 2007, Capitol rescinded the contract with the group, although it continued under the orders of EMI, through which came out their first album. In 2010 they launched the second, entitled No Guts. Not Glory. In 2013, after two great albums that got good grades, they released the third, entitled Black Dog Barking. In 2008, German television Arte broadcast an 8-minute documentary about the band, in which they interviewed fans and members of the band. They received the BPI Silver Award in August 2013. Roadrunner Records is their worldwide distribution company until 2015, when the band signs a contract for worldwide distribution with Spinefarm Records. The style of his songs is similar to that of another band of Australian origin, AC / DC, which has led to the band being considered as the successor of this in hard rock music. Currently, it is considered one of the most important hard rock bands in history and the most important in the 21st century.
