Life

Tawil is the first of three children of Arab immigrants in Germany. His father Salah is from Egypt and his mother from Tunisia. Tawil has a younger brother named Hatern and a younger sister named Rascha. Adel is currently engaged with German actress Jasmin Weber.

Music

At the end of the 90s he was a member of the group The Boyz. In 2004, together with Annette Humpe, he formed the duet Ich + Ich, which in 2005 released his debut album with the same name and later in 2007 his second album Vom selben Stern. Some time later, Tawil worked as an independent artist in the Tobias Schenke single Niemand hat gesagt. Along with the rapper Azad recorded in 2007 the song Ich glaube an dich for the series Prison Break, which directly after its release reached the top of the music charts in Germany. In 2007 Tawil reached in total 4 positions in the Top 10 (3 singles and one album), and since 2005 he has sung five hits of it. He then participated as a guest singer on Chris Zippel’s Genuine Horizon album in the song Again. Later in 2008 he appeared in the video clip of the single Für das Volk, played by the singer Tarééc and the Austrian rapper Chakuza. Tarééc had previously been a member of the band The Boyz as well as Tawil. In 2009 he recorded the song Stadt with Cassandra Steen, which reached positions in the Top 10 of Germany and Austria.
