Adam Wade Gontier (Ontario, Toronto, Canada, May 25, 1978) is a Canadian musician and composer, vocalist of Saint Asonia and former member of the Canadian alternative metal band Three Days. Grace, of which he was a founder, vocalist, guitarist and composer. It has a voice that includes the ranges between high and medium-low tenor. In addition to his work with Three Days Grace, he has been involved in collaborations with other bands such as Art of Dying and Apocalyptica.
He continued his musical career as a soloist. According to social networks, since the music in his life would not end due to the fact of leaving the band, the love towards his fans and the love he has for the music prompted him to keep going, besides Gontier had already done solo musical works which have been very well received.
Adam Gontier’s Biography
The musical influences of Adam were: Nirvana, Sunny Day Real Estate, Pearl Jam, Jeff Buckley and The Beatles.
His interest in the guitar began with his cousin and his father, although he also listened to all kinds of music from his youth. From the age of 14wanted to play for people where and how. Initially, he co-founded a group called Groundswell, made up of five components, including Neil Sanderson and Brad Walst (currently at Three Days Grace). When they were finally reduced to three members, they adopted the name of Three Days Grace, which Brad heard in the economics class. At age 17 they decided to move to Toronto to make themselves known in the music scene. Adam has always been a prodigy singing from his beginnings in music, practically instilled by his parents.
In 2003 went on sale the first album of the band that formed, called Three Days Grace which came out three singles,Hate Everything About You, Just Like You and Home. Its producer was Gavin Brown.
One of the anecdotes of the production of the disc was the one that is told in the song Scared. It seems that in the study in which they were recording at the beginning, there was some paranormal being, a girl that caused them much fear, so they decided to change the studio.

“My mother is an artist, so it’s really her who introduced me to live music,used to sing with improvisation bands in bars whenwas 12. The Seattle music scene really inspired me, and inspired the lyrics of my songs. “
At the beginning of 2012, on the social networks came the rumor that the group was planning a new album. The rumor took form of reality at the beginning of June, days before the transit of the planet Venus, when in the official page of the group appeared a new cover that had a trailer on a new titled disc Transit of Venus, that will see the light on 2 of October 2012. After several months of various advancements of the album, a first single, titled Chalk Outline, arrived on August 14.
On January 9, 2013, it was confirmed on the official site of Three Days Grace that Adam would leave the band.
